My column appears in the Louisville Eccentric Observer (LEO) every other week. Basically, I write about drinking — where to drink, what to drink, when to drink, why to drink and how much to drink. I'm always looking for ideas — new bars, favorite hangouts, crazy cheap drinks, etc. — so share your secrets. Better yet, tell me about them over a beer or two.

I gotta say I am a bit disappointed in the Super Tuesday voting.
The charisma Obama has is nice, but he has yet to say anything at all as to how he will try to accomplish anything. He is a great orator, but we need someone who can lead not just give us flowery speeches. I just dont see why people are blinded by flowery words with no true substance. I think thats what I like about Hillary she says what she wants to do, and then she explains how she plans to try to accomplish it. Thats way more important to me than speeches filled with no true substance, only hollow words.
Dont get me wrong though it sure is nice to hear someone who can complete a sentance like an intelligent person compared to our current president.
here's my glass is half empty thought, and you've heard this before. this country is not ready for a female or minority president. people will come out and vote just to make sure it doesn't happens. that's sad.
what's even worse, is that means mccain is our next president.
I can't say I disagree completely with you. Only that I think a women has a better chance to win it then a black man unfortunately. I think there are alot of racist biggots that will come out in droves to make sure that doesn't happen.
I learned a few years back that I should never talk politics...my brother-in-law and I are just now starting to talk again after years of animosities. That said....as many of you know...I lean heavily to the left (but as I get older, I noticed that I'm sliding slowly to the middle????)
