Bud goes Belgian?

Anheuser-Busch was sold yesterday to Belgian brewer InBev for $52 billion. That's a big chunk of change. So does this mean it'll no longer be American-made? What's going to be St. Louis' claim to fame? What's for sale next? Baseball? Cherry pie? Madonna?

sources tell me (cnn.com) that they're gonna keep everything in place and make St. Louis the US InBev headquarters. Maybe some layoffs, but anheiser-busch was planning that anyway. So it'll technically be american made, but all the profits will be going over seas.

Think people will stop drinking their precious bud light because of this?

On a side note, Anheiser-Busch is one of the foremost funders of anti-marijuana campaigns. Think there could be any laxed laws resulting from the sale?

A little bit of good news amongst the bad news. I finally bit the bullet (not the silver one) a year or two ago and made the switch to Miller Lite. Chug.
